Here at MNG we focus on a number of things. One of those being Social Media. Social Media Marketing has fast become one of the most effective forms of marketing. It is effectively the online equivalent of word of mouth offline. Except, it isn’t word of mouth, it is World of mouth. People by nature are more likely to listen to a recommendation or idea from a ‘friend’ than react to an anonymous advert or unsolicited contact – either through flyer on your car window, unwanted commercial breaks on TV and Radio or unsolicited email or mobile contact. If someone you know recommends a service or product, you will more than likely at least check it out.
For major organisations, social media is again showing just how powerful it is. Take a look at this report regarding the company GAP. I would imagine that most people are familiar with the brand and associate it with their logo that has been around for 20 years. Look what happened when they tried to change it!
